A passion for health and fitness has been a journey of discovery and of constant transformation. It began in my early twenties – at that time I was not at all near exemplary health. I was sluggish, overweight and lacking mental clarity. I knew I had to change and began to take responsibility for maintaining long lasting health through nutrition and physical activity.
This new approach for excellent health and wellness led me to pursue a degree in Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as become a Certified Personal Trainer. After graduation, I continued to educate myself outside of what I learned from formal education to help me become a well-rounded coach. The countless hours of education helped me alleviate my health conditions and enabled me to use what I learned to help my current and future clients to achieve their personal health goals.
In my experience as a personal trainer, I’ve seen that peoples’ chronic health conditions can be preventable or treatable with lifestyle modifications. As a health professional, I develop personalized approaches for each of my clients needs. Each client has their own nutrition program intertwined with training and a unique mobility and flexibility program. I take a comprehensive, holistic approach with the human body and appreciate the importance of individuality when it comes to obtaining your optimal health.
Fitness is not about being better than someone else…it’s about being better than who you used to be.
